Each beta update, in plain words. Beta testers get every update free, and TL lists the changes under New in This Version after each install.
Court recordings. Choose an FTR folder or zip, and TL reads the whole set in time order, with the time not recorded between sessions and only the microphones that have sound. Digital Court Recorder (.dcr), Windows Media (.wma), and AAC (.aac) recordings work too.
Notes and log sheets. One card in Step 2 takes a court log sheet, your typed notes, or a case paper such as an exhibit list. Full names go into Spellings, where you can remove any.
Video or audio played in court, and breaks. Transcribed in colloquy after your own wording, and each one is listed in the Job Report.
Your role. Choose Court reporter, Transcriber or agency, Scopist, or Proofreader. Setup and Home follow your role, and you can change it at any time.
Full Review or Quick Review. Choose for each job in Step 1. Quick Review goes straight to Export, with every place TL is unsure of listed in the Job Report with its page and line.
Sent To You. Jobs and files sent to you in one list on Home, with a pop-up when something arrives.
Check a Finished Transcript. Final Check on a Word, text, or CAT text file from Home, with no job and no hours.
Common layouts. Start From a Common Layout for federal courts, California, Florida, Georgia, New York, and Texas, with the source named.
Export. One Export button, a preview set out like your export, and RTF selected to start.
Notices and calendar. A forwarded notice fills every detail it states. Overdue work shows in red, and two bookings for one witness on one date can be merged.
Confirm My Email. Settings confirms your email with a 6-digit code, so TL can email you codes and updates.
Chat with TL Support. While you type, TL names User Guide sections that may answer your question.
Simpler screens. Save and Return to Home on every step, and Help and Support and Settings set out in groups.
Forwarded job notices. Turn on forwarding, then forward a job notice or assignment email to your own TL address. TL fills in a booking for you to check.
Calendar and due dates. Bookings and rough and final due dates in one calendar, with This Week on Home. You can subscribe to it in Google, Outlook, or Apple Calendar.
Send your own files. Send your own transcript, CAT file, or recording to your scopist or proofreader, locked so only that person can open it.
Linked with your team. Link with your scopist, proofreader, or agency to share rough and final due dates, and nothing else. (Since 10.1: job dates and due dates, the type of job, and any short label you type; never case or witness names.)
Simpler screens. Extra controls are under More at the top right of each screen. Nothing was removed.
Text size. Choose Normal, Large, or Larger.
Long answers in paragraphs and a closing line. Both are on for everyone, each with Turn off.
